Reina Rouzaud (rou-z-oh) is here to tell you why Myspace should still exist.
Just kidding! Hi, I’m Reina and I’m a New York based actor, model and creative by way of Tucson Arizona.
I knew wanted to be a performer from early on, performing in my schools’ Christmas show at the age of 7 I came to life on stage (kind of cliche but very true), even Linda Ronstandt told me I possessed “Star Quality” after seeing me perform.
I moved to NYC as soon as I could. I received my BFA in acting from Marymount Manhattan College where I trained in Shakespeare, High Comedy, Adler, Meisner, and Viewpoints. I have acted in many plays at venues such as: The Tank, The Chain, The Players Theater, and Under Saint Marks Theater. And have starred in multiple short films receiving festival recognition including “Buffalo & Wolfy” - a rom-com about the first cavewomen to discover fire, and “begin” - an experimental short I also directed and produced.
You may even recognize me from Sephora stores in Amika’s The Kure campaign featuring my formerly fiery red hair.
Although my main focus is acting I have experience in dancing, writing, directing, drag, slam poetry, improv, performance art, hosting art salons in my apartment, and at one point I even hosted a fight club (don’t tell anyone) on my roof! Through these other art forms and life experiences I am able to make bold choices as an actor and bring a depth to my characters that is truly unique.
